Tag formed in Rio de Janeiro in 2013 with Rodrigo Rossi on vocals and guitar, Márcio Buzelin on guitar, and Pedro Gaspar on bass. Their debut album 'Somar Dois' came out in 2018, with the title track becoming a national hit. They followed it with 'Ciclo' in 2020 and 'Aurora' in 2022.
Their songs like 'Pra Poder Sorrir' and 'Aos Poucos' often work with Brazilian rhythms and introspective lyrics. The band has mentioned Chico Buarque and Radiohead as influences, though their sound stays fairly direct, built around Rossi's voice and acoustic arrangements.
In 2021, allegations of sexual misconduct were made against Rossi, which the band denied. They were temporarily removed from streaming platforms during that period. Tag has continued performing and releasing music since then.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
