Taish formed in Mumbai around 2012, playing a mix of heavy metal with some traditional Indian elements. Their debut single "2000 Years" came out in 2015 and became their most recognizable track. The band's lineup included Harshit Tomar on vocals and guitar, Hitesh Kadam on bass, Rahul Dadarkar on drums, and Pratik Joshi on guitar.

After "2000 Years," they released other songs like "Beyond the Invisble" and "C'est pas vrai." In 2017, drummer Rahul Dadarkar left the band and was replaced by Mayank Jain. They put out a debut album also called "2000 Years" that continued their rock and Indian melody approach.
