Takagi & Ketra are an Italian production duo made up of Alessio Fogliano (Takagi) from Rome and Fabio Clemente (Ketra) from Milan. They started working together in the early 2010s, with Fogliano coming from a DJ background and Clemente bringing electronic and hip-hop influences into their dance-pop sound.
Their debut album was called 'Donna D'Onna,' and they followed it with releases like 'Popstars' and 'Lontana Da Te.' They're known for assembling big collaborative tracks, like 'Amore e Capoeira' with Giusy Ferreri and Sean Kingston, and 'La Luna e la Gatta' which features Tommaso Paradiso, Calcutta, and Jovanotti.
One of their singles, 'L'esercito Del Selfie,' faced some accusations of plagiarism, though the duo kept working. More recently, they've put together tracks like 'Ciclone,' which brings together Elodie, Mariah, and members of the Gipsy Kings.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
