Taketh

Taketh formed in London with Ethan Carter on vocals and guitar, James Price on bass, and Alex Martinez on drums. Their early work included the 2017 EP 'The Beginning' before their 2019 album 'Bring Me Water' gave them wider attention. That album's title track became their most recognizable song, though they've also released material like 'Consequence (Of Abusing Human Weakness)' and 'Mind Numbing Crap' that shows their rougher, more confrontational side.

They followed up with 'The Fall' in 2021 and 'Ashes to Ashes' in 2023, maintaining a steady output of albums every couple of years. Their music pulls from rock and punk without settling into one category, and their lyrics have sometimes drawn criticism for being too explicit or challenging. They built their audience playing small clubs before 'Bring Me Water' found a larger listenership.

Taketh's catalog includes the 2020 EP 'The Black Sheep' alongside their three full-length albums. Their sound has kept that raw, energetic quality from the beginning, even as they've moved beyond the underground venues where they started.
