Talk of the Town formed in London in 1973 with Joe Tempest on vocals, Sly Richards on guitar, Jimmy Malloy on bass, and Terry Slade on drums. Their debut album 'Fire and Desire' came out in 1975 and included the single 'Remember the Fire.'
That song became their most recognizable track, along with 'Save Us Now' and 'The Remedy.' They released two more albums, 'Power of Rock' in 1977 and 'Unleashed' in 1979.
The band had some internal tensions and drug issues that created instability during their run. They were known for energetic live shows that helped build their following in the 1970s rock scene.
