Talk Show

Talk Show formed in Berlin in 2013 around vocalist Lucy Kruger and multi-instrumentalist Andi Otto. Their first album, 'Endless Atlas,' came out in 2017, followed by 'Living in the Loop' in 2019. Kruger's vocals and Otto's arrangements gave their music an atmospheric quality that drew from ambient and electro-pop.

Songs like 'Behind' and 'Peeling an Orange' show their approach, spare, moody tracks built around Kruger's voice and layered electronics. The writing tends toward introspection, with lyrics that examine interior states rather than straightforward narratives.

Kruger's chronic pain affected their ability to tour consistently, which kept them from building a broader live following during those early album cycles. They worked mostly as a duo, with Otto handling production and instrumental work in the studio.

Their catalog is relatively compact, two albums and a handful of singles, but songs like 'Fill The Fields' and 'End of the World' have a lingering presence, the kind that settles in slowly rather than announcing itself.
