Paper Dragon

I am a paper dragon; I navigate the sky

The warm winds plays on my wooden ribs

I fly, I fly

But you hold the spool, and you draw me in

Paper to flesh and wood to bone

I stand here on this floor of stone

And the fire I breathe is real

I am a wooden horse; I stand before your gate

My restless blood like an army

I wait, I wait

And slowly the key is turning

I'm drawn toward your door

And I pass through your fortress wall

And the step I take is real

We live in a house of glass, the sun gets in and when we laugh

The rainbow colours dance around the walls

Wooden horses must play their games

And paper dragons cannot be tamed

We lie here on this grassy plain

And the fire we breathe is real
