Tara Blaise

Tara Blaise is a band formed in Los Angeles by vocalist Tara McManus and guitarist Blaise Garza. Their 2017 single "21 Years" became their most recognizable song, with its melody and lyrics about time passing connecting with listeners. They released a debut album called "Into the Dark" in 2012, which explored themes of mental health and addiction.

Their music often blends folk, rock, and electronic elements into atmospheric arrangements. Beyond "21 Years," songs like "Feel Free," "Fool For Love," and "Paperback Cliche" show their range from introspective storytelling to more direct emotional expressions. They've also put out an EP titled "Unveiling" and a later album called "Echoes of the Deep."

Early on, the band faced financial constraints and industry skepticism, but they kept working. Their sound developed around McManus's vocals and Garza's guitar work, creating songs that feel both personal and expansive. While "21 Years" remains their signature track, their catalog includes other thoughtful pieces like "Ladybird" and "Little Girl."
