Tarchon Fist came out of Stockholm in the early 1990s. The band had four members with stage names: Lex Icon on vocals, Raziel on guitar, Tormentor on bass, and Scythe on drums. They played metal with what their early fans called blistering riffs and scorching solos.
Their debut album was called '3 Days in Hell' and came out in 1995. They followed it with records like 'Gates of Armageddon' in 1997 and 'Legion of the Damned' in 2000. Some of their song titles give a sense of their material: 'Bad Man Mania,' 'Black Gold Fever,' 'Carved With Fire,' and 'Eyes Of Wolf.'
Their lyrics sometimes dealt with darkness and the occult, which drew some criticism at the time. They kept making music through the 2000s, putting out 'Black Cathedral' in 2003 and 'The Final Hour' in 2006. The band eventually stopped, but their records stayed in circulation among metal listeners.
