Taryn Spizman is a Japanese singer-songwriter who started writing songs and performing at local open mics in Tokyo. In 2017, she released her debut EP "Prologue." Her 2019 single "Aruki Hajimeta Hi" became a viral sensation, establishing her as a rising star in Japan.
In 2020, Spizman was diagnosed with vocal cord nodes and underwent surgery, which temporarily halted her singing career. She faced some criticism for continuing to perform despite her health issues, but kept working on music. She released another EP called "Hikari" in 2021.
Spizman performs as a solo artist with a backing band that includes guitarist Kazuki Kido, bassist Daisuke Hasegawa, and drummer Ryota Matsuda. Her catalog also includes the song "Pedacinho do Céu."
