Tatiéli Bueno grew up in Santo Antônio do Aracanguá, Brazil, where she first heard chamamé music. Her debut album came out in 2010, with the title track 'Chamamecero' becoming a hit. That song, along with others like 'Marias da Penha' and 'Vira Virou', helped introduce chamamé to listeners who might not have known the style before.
She has put out several albums since then, including 'Chamamé da Tati' in 2013 and 'Alma Guaraní' in 2016. Some traditionalists have questioned her approach to chamamé, but she has kept recording and performing with musicians like guitarist Fernando Nunes and bassist Marcelo Pereira.
The music stays grounded in chamamé rhythms while reaching for something contemporary, as you can hear on tracks like 'Um Dia'.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
