Taty Passos, born Natasha Passos de Camargo, started singing in Rio de Janeiro. In 2009 she auditioned for the reality competition Ídolos, where her voice caught some attention.
Her debut album 'Minha Essência' came out in 2011. It included 'Igreja de Joelhos,' a ballad that connected with listeners but also drew criticism from some religious groups who found its lyrics problematic.
After that song, she became more visible in Brazilian music. She sometimes spoke about social issues like LGBTQ+ rights and discrimination, which brought both support and criticism. Her later albums included 'Amor & Fé' in 2014 and 'Além do Horizonte' in 2017.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
