Tauski was a Finnish pop band that formed in 1996. Their debut album 'Haavemaa' came out that same year and became popular with its dance-pop sound and lyrics that leaned toward melancholy and nostalgia. Songs like 'Älä unohda mua' and 'Elämän tanssi' showed their mix of pop with some rock and folk touches.
The band's lineup included Tauski Peltonen on vocals, Jonne Aaron on guitar, Jarkko Martikainen on bass, and Antti Rönnberg on drums. They released three more studio albums after 'Haavemaa': 'Illan varjot' in 1998, 'Hyvää yötä' in 2001, and a greatest hits collection in 2003. Peltonen's outspoken personality and sometimes provocative lyrics drew attention and divided opinion.
Tauski disbanded in 2003. Peltonen went on to work as a solo artist after the band ended.
