Tayh

Tayh is a Brazilian rap group from São Paulo. They started playing in underground venues when the local music industry was mostly focused on pop and sertanejo. Their debut album 'Tô Sempre No Corre' came out in 2019, and the title track became a hit about the daily grind. The group has three members: PK handles vocals and lyrics, DJ Tafarel produces the beats, and Sain works on rhythms and textures.

Their songs often deal with social issues like inequality and police violence. One track called 'Estado Policial' drew criticism from law enforcement for its content about police brutality. Tayh followed their first album with another called 'Calma Aí, Coração' in 2022. Other songs in their catalog include 'All I Want Is You,' 'Nós Dois,' and 'Maldade.'

They built an audience with lyrics that felt real to working-class listeners and younger fans. The music mixes rap with funk elements, but it's the straightforward talk about everyday struggles that seems to connect. They're still putting out records and playing shows, keeping to the same themes they started with.
