I grew up in the USA

Crossed the border for the third grade

Canada to Northern Maine

Difficult move for only being eight

And I lost my mother at an early age

When she went to heaven we had different last names

I could never forget that day

But I'm tryin' to move on tryna turn the page

Gettin' real tired of living in a temporary place

Need to settle down find a reason to stay

I thought I'd move to California its a beautiful state

It wasn't soon I was leaving I was going my way
