Tazenda

Tazenda formed in 1982 in Sardinia with Andrea Parodi, Gigi Camedda, and Gino Marielli. Their self-titled debut came out in 1988, but it was 1991's 'Murales' that really put them on the map in Italy, anchored by the song 'Carrasecare' which resonated as a Sardinian anthem.

In 1999 they collaborated with Eros Ramazzotti on 'Domo Mia,' which became a European hit and broadened their reach. Their catalog includes songs like 'Bon Nadale' and 'Sa festa,' blending traditional Sardinian elements with pop arrangements.

After Andrea Parodi died in 1999, the band continued with Gigi Camedda, Beppe Dettori, and Massimo Cossu. They've kept recording, with albums like 'Il Nostro Canto' in 2009, maintaining their focus on Sardinian musical roots without chasing trends.
