Tazmaniak El Monumento formed in Buenos Aires in 1993. The original lineup included Santiago "La Chala" Moreno on vocals, Marcelo "Bombón" Aranda on guitar, Cristóbal "Colo" Aranda on bass, and Pablo "Panza" Callieri on drums. They put out their first album, "Interiores," the following year.
Their 1996 album "Volvistes" gave the band its most recognizable song, though the track also led to accusations of plagiarism and a legal dispute. The band released several more albums through the late 1990s and early 2000s, including "Rojizo" in 1998 and "Razones" in 2002.
In recent years, the members have mostly worked on solo projects, but Tazmaniak El Monumento still gets together occasionally for performances.
