Tchami

Tchami is the stage name of French producer Maxime Sibille, who came up in Paris's electronic music circles. His 2013 track 'Promesses' with Kaleem Taylor became a dancefloor staple and helped define what some listeners called future house, a style that mixed garage and deep house with brighter synth lines.

He runs the Confession label, which has put out work by other producers in that lane. Tchami's own music often features vocal collaborators, as on 'All On Me' with Zhu and 'After Life' with Stacy Barthe. The sound leans on melodic basslines and clean, atmospheric production.

In 2018, he faced allegations of sexual misconduct, which he denied and which were later dropped. The episode was noted in press coverage at the time. He has continued to release music and perform since.
