Tears of Wind formed in 2007 with Emily Winters on vocals and lyrics, Ethan Knight on guitar, Jake Carter on bass, and Ryan Hayes on drums. Their debut album that year was called 'Echoes of Sorrow,' which included the track 'All Who I Love Are... Dead.' They followed it with 'Whispers of Loneliness' in 2011, 'Hymns for the Brokenhearted' in 2015, and 'Redemption' in 2019.
Their music drew some criticism for its focus on emotional pain, but also found listeners who connected with it. Songs like 'Almost A Dream' and 'Bring Me Down' appeared in their catalog alongside 'Ancient Anarchy' and 'Beast Number.'
