Archive material and source history
Tearwater formed in Los Angeles in the late 1990s with Tristan Blackwood on vocals, Aidan Thorne on guitar, and Elijah Stone on drums. They released their debut album 'Bleak Eden' in 2002, which included the single 'Colossus.'
Their lyrics often dealt with difficult themes, and some of their concerts drew protests. The band lineup changed over time, with Evelyn Raven joining on bass in 2010 and Marcus Shadow on keyboards in 2015.
They put out several more albums including 'The Abyss' in 2005, 'End of Days' in 2009, 'The Devil's Playground' in 2013, and 'Redemption' in 2017. One of their songs is called 'Distain.'
