Technoir is an electronic duo from London formed in the late 1990s by Chris Stewart on keyboards and programming and Ken Downie handling vocals and guitars. They met at a music festival in 1996 and started working together on material that blended ambient textures with industrial rhythms.
Their debut album 'Aeons' came out in 2000, with the title track becoming a notable release. They followed it with albums like 'The Holy Machine' in 2002 and 'The Existentialist' in 2004. Other songs in their catalog include 'All too much', 'Blaze', 'Dying Star', and 'Fragile'.
Later albums included 'The Disintegration of Reality' in 2008, 'Dark Matter' in 2012, and 'The Abyss' in 2017. Their lyrics sometimes addressed social and political themes.
