Telavive

Telavive is a Brazilian electro-pop duo formed in 2015 by vocalist Manu Gavassi and producer Lucas Silveira. Gavassi came from acting and pop music, bringing her voice and lyrics to the project, while Silveira handled the electronic production. They've put out three albums: 'Sonhos Roubados' in 2016, 'Vertigem' in 2019, and 'Pra Curar' in 2021.

Their song 'Falsa Crente' came out in 2018 and became a hit in Brazil. Other tracks like 'Antes Arrependido' and 'Até o Fim' show their mix of pop melodies with electronic textures. The music tends toward synth-driven arrangements with Gavassi's vocals floating over the beats.

Gavassi has been vocal about feminist views, which has drawn some criticism in Brazil. The duo has kept making music that touches on personal and social themes without stepping back from that stance. Their work sits in that space between accessible pop and more atmospheric electronic production.
