Ten Masked Men

Ten Masked Men were a mysterious group created by Deep Purple bassist Roger Glover in the 1980s. The idea was to have musicians perform anonymously behind masks and pseudonyms, with members calling themselves Baron von Ludwig on vocals, Dr. X on guitar, Count Rudi on bass, and Professor Y on drums. They're best known for recording the theme song for the James Bond film 'A View to a Kill,' which became their most recognizable track.

Their sound mixed hard rock and electronic elements, and they also recorded versions of songs like 'Ain't Nobody' and 'Beat It.' The anonymity of the group created plenty of speculation about who was actually behind the masks, though the identities were never officially revealed. Beyond the Bond theme, they released a few singles and an instrumental album before fading from view.
