Ten Second Epic formed in Nashville in 2004, originally called The Royal We. The lineup included Jake Letts on vocals and guitar, Kurt Thum on guitar, Ryan Gullett on bass, and Edward Burch on drums. They changed their name in 2010 and put out a debut EP called 'Hearts Like Ours' that year.
Their first full album, 'The Raging Light,' came out in 2012. The single 'A Thousand Times Committed' got some attention. Gullett left the band in 2014, and Tim Lanier took over on bass.
In 2016, the band had to cancel a European tour because Letts got seriously sick. He recovered and they kept going. They've released three albums total, along with some EPs and singles.
