Ten2Five

Ten2Five formed in 2005 with Wanjira Longwani, Mbugua Kariuki, Kenyanito, and Nick Mutuma. Their debut song 'Bila' became an immediate hit in Kenya, topping charts and establishing them quickly. The band's sound mixed afro-pop with soul and reggae elements, anchored by Longwani's lead vocals and Kariuki's guitar work.

They released albums like 'Bila' in 2005, followed by 'Hapa Na Pale' in 2007, 'Safari' in 2009, and 'Tutafika' in 2011. Songs like 'Don't Say Goodbye' and 'Hold On' showed their range across upbeat tracks and slower material. Their music sometimes drew attention for its social commentary, though they kept recording and performing through the late 2000s.

In recent years, Ten2Five has been less active as a performing unit. Their songs still get played at gatherings and events in Kenya, and that early run from 'Bila' onward left a catalog that newer artists sometimes reference.
