Teoric formed in 1998 in Valdepeñas, Spain, with Javier Sánchez on vocals, Javier Fernández on guitar, Eduardo Cebreiros on bass, and Jonathan Esteve on drums. They started playing local shows, drawing from pop-punk influences like Green Day and Blink-182. Their first album, "Adicción," came out in 2003 after some early struggles to get noticed.
Things changed in 2006 when they released "Amigos." The song caught on in Spain and Latin America, leading to their 2007 album "Algo Real." They toured a lot during this period, sometimes opening for bands like Good Charlotte and The Offspring.
In 2008, Sánchez was arrested on drug possession charges, which affected the band's public image. Then in 2013, bassist Eduardo Cebreiros left the group.
