Terapia Musical

Terapia Musical came out of Rio de Janeiro in the late 1990s, mixing samba, funk, and rock. Their first album, 'Na Crista da Onda,' came out in 2000 and gave them a national hit with the title track. The band's lyrics often touched on social issues like inequality and poverty, which drew some criticism along with their popularity.

They put out other albums like 'Espiritamente Livre,' 'Pra Frente Brasil,' and 'Singular e Plural.' Songs like 'Rebola a Jaca,' 'Tico e Teco,' and 'A Lua Já Não É a Mesma' show their range from party tracks to more reflective material. They worked with artists including Seu Jorge, Gilberto Gil, and Marisa Monte.

The original lineup had Luiz Caldas on vocals, Ricardo Brasil on guitar, Rodrigo Tavares on bass, and Jhonny Gomez on drums. That changed over time, Brasil left in 2010, replaced by Pedro Mariano, and Gomez departed the next year, with Leandro Farias taking over drums.
