Terceiro Andar is a Brazilian rock band from Salvador that formed in the late 2000s. They're led by vocalist Pedro Pondé and blend reggae, rock, and MPB influences. Their debut album 'Vale do Eco' came out in 2012, with the title track becoming something of an anthem.
In 2016, the band faced criticism for allegedly plagiarizing a melody from a traditional Brazilian song, which sparked some online debate. The following year, guitarist André Tostes left the group, citing creative differences.
They released a second album called 'Rota de Fuga' in 2018, which showed them moving toward a more experimental sound. Their 2021 album 'Amanhecer' incorporated funk and electronic elements while keeping some of their earlier social themes.
