Terceiro Sol formed in Rio de Janeiro around 2008, when they released their first album "Refúgio." The band's name translates to "Third Sun," and they've built their sound around Brazilian reggae with songs like "Felicidade Decadente" and "Lágrimas Invisíveis." Their second album "Reggae Particular" came out in 2011.

Rodrigo Tavares handles vocals, with Anderson Leonardo on guitar, Bruno Dourado on bass, and Daniel Vieira on drums. They've continued putting out records, including "Próxima Parada" in 2014 and "Em Busca do Sol" in 2017. Their 2020 release was called "Lado B."

Some of their material has touched on social issues in Brazil. Tavares has also spoken about censorship concerns in the country.
