Termanology

Termanology is a Boston rapper who took his name from the horror comic book character Terminator. He started putting out mixtapes in the early 2000s, and his first proper album, 'Hood Politics', came out in 2005. He followed that with 'Politics as Usual' in 2007 and '1982' in 2010, building a catalog that often leans into gritty, street-level narratives.

His tracks like 'Hood shit' with Prodigy and 'Pay Jay' are typical of his style, straightforward and heavy on detail. He's worked frequently with producer Statik Selektah and has been part of the crew Statik Nation, which includes other Boston-area rappers like Reks and Slaine. Later albums like 'Watergate' in 2013 and 'Shun' in 2014 kept his output steady.

Termanology's lyrics have sometimes drawn criticism for their blunt depictions, but he's generally regarded as an honest, no-frills voice in hip-hop. He writes about what he knows, without much polish, and that's kept a certain audience listening for years.
