Terminal Prospect

Terminal Prospect started in Helsinki around 2014, with guitarist Jussi Varho and bassist Toni Mikkonen. They brought in vocalist Kim Österman, and the trio began working on a heavy sound that drew from bands like Metallica and Pantera. Their early material faced some criticism for being too familiar, but they kept at it, focusing on riffs and raw delivery.

In 2017, they released an album called 'Alliance', which included the title track and songs like 'The Fall' and 'Elegy'. That record helped them find a steadier footing, mixing crushing weight with melodic touches. It didn't reinvent the wheel, but it gave them a clearer identity within the metal scene.

At some point, their lyrics were accused of promoting violence and misogyny, which the band denied. They argued the music was just reflecting darker parts of life, not endorsing them.

Songs like 'Custom Collapse' and 'Pendulum Of Life' came later, sticking to their blend of aggression and melody. They haven't broken into the mainstream, but they've built a modest catalog that appeals to listeners who like their metal straightforward and unpolished.
