Terra Brasil started in Rio de Janeiro in 1980, put together by Luís Barcelos and Milton Guedes. Their first album came out in 1982, and it included the song 'Sua Insensatez,' which got them some attention. In 1985, Milton Guedes died in a car accident, and the band had to figure out how to keep going.
Luís Barcelos brought in new people like Andrea Lahas, and they put out more records over the next few years, including 'Cantata Brasileira' in 1987 and 'Identidade' in 1990. Their songs, like 'A Que Mais Deixa Saudade' and 'Condor,' had a quiet, thoughtful feel that didn't always fit with what was popular at the time.
