Their sound drew from punk acts like The Clash and Sex Pistols, but with lyrics that tackled poverty, racism, and political corruption in Brazil.
Their debut album "Verde-Alecrim" came out in 2000, and the title track became something of an anthem for marginalized communities. The band's confrontational performances and politically charged material led to run-ins with authorities, including censorship and arrests, but they kept playing.
Over time, their lineup shifted around those core members. They put out several albums and EPs, staying rooted in that raw, aggressive punk style while Eduardo's lyrics maintained their poetic edge. The music never softened its stance against social injustice.
