Tezeka formed in Stockholm in 2015, starting with childhood friends Erik Jonasson on vocals and Anton Broberg on guitar. They were later joined by bassist Albin Johnson and drummer Christoffer Hedberg to complete the lineup. The band built an early following playing shows in smaller venues around the city.
Their debut album 'A Journey To Remember' came out in 2018, featuring songs like 'Tournament (part. L1)' with guest vocals from L1. They followed it with a second album called 'Unbreakable' in 2020. Both records worked within metalcore territory, with Jonasson's vocals and Broberg's guitar work at the forefront.
Tezeka's lyrics sometimes drew criticism for being too direct, but they kept writing what they wanted to write. They haven't released much since 2020, but 'Tournament' still gets played.
