Thalion

Thalion formed in San Francisco in the early 2000s, a group of musicians drawn to progressive rock. They cited influences like Pink Floyd and Yes, aiming for a sound that didn't stick to conventional formulas.

Their debut album was called 'Ascension,' which set up their approach with layered guitars and vocal harmonies. They followed it with records like 'Equinox' and 'Beyond the Veil,' often working with themes of introspection and spirituality. Songs like 'Show Me The Answers' and 'Another Sun' came from this period.

Ethan James handled lead vocals and guitar, writing much of their material. Anya Petrova played keyboards and added backing vocals. The band faced some criticism for being too unconventional or difficult to access, but they kept working on their own terms.
