Thalita Nery grew up in Rio de Janeiro with music around her, her mother sang and her father played guitar. She started singing in a children's choir when she was six. In 2009, she put out her first album, 'Espírito Santo,' which included the song 'Não Retires Teu Espírito.' That track caught on with listeners and became something of an anthem in Christian circles.
Her music leans toward worship, with songs like 'É Hora de Levantar' and 'Deus de Poder' reflecting that focus. In 2015, some religious figures questioned whether her approach was too contemporary for traditional church settings. Nery kept recording, with tracks such as 'Não Desista' and 'Provado e Aprovado' appearing among her work.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
