Thatiana Martins comes from Lábrea, a small town in Brazil's Amazonas region. Her parents were both musicians, and she grew up hearing traditional Amazonian rhythms alongside the sounds of the rainforest itself. In 2015, she released her debut album 'Encontro das Águas,' which drew on those early influences.
Her song 'Banho de Cachoeira' became particularly well-known, with its rhythmic pulse and her clear, steady vocals. Other tracks like 'Certo e errado' and 'Eu Quero Mais' followed on later albums including 'Raízes Amazônicas' in 2018 and 'Canto da Terra' in 2021. She performs with a band of musicians from the region.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
