Thayza Medeiros

Thayza Medeiros grew up in Natal, Brazil, where she started singing in churches by age nine. Her debut album came out in 2003, anchored by the title track 'Só A Ti Eu Cantarei,' which became a gospel hit. That song, along with others like 'Estás Comigo' and 'Eu Me Rendo,' established her as a vocalist with a straightforward devotional focus.

Her music stayed rooted in evangelical themes, and she wrote much of her own material. The sound was built around her voice and clear religious messages, without much studio polish or genre experimentation. She kept recording through the 2000s, putting out albums that worked within that familiar gospel framework.

Medeiros also became known for her conservative religious views, particularly regarding homosexuality. These statements drew criticism and created some distance from parts of her audience, though she continued performing.
