The 11s formed in São Paulo in 2009, a pop band that caught attention quickly. Their 2010 single "Mamãe Sou Pop" became a hit, capturing something in Brazil's youth culture at the time. The song's title translates to "Mom, I'm Pop," and it seemed to speak to a particular moment.

They released their self-titled debut album in 2011, which included other tracks like "Não Me Importo Mais." The band's music was built around straightforward pop hooks, with some electronic touches. Their sound drew from mainstream pop influences, and they kept releasing albums through the 2010s.
