The B Movie Monsters

The B Movie Monsters started in Los Angeles around 2015, with a lineup that included Erik Forrest on vocals, Chris McArthur on guitar, Mike Thomas on drums, and Bobby Rock on bass. They built their sound around a love for old horror movies and the Hollywood Vampires, the legendary drinking club from the 1970s. Their early material, like the song 'Hollywood Vampires', leaned into that theme with a straightforward rock approach.

They put out an EP in 2015 and a self-titled album in 2017, which had tracks such as '10-31' and 'Corpse Bride'. The band kept working with horror imagery, which sometimes drew skeptical comments from critics, but they mostly stuck to their lane. Later albums like 'Tales from the Crypt' in 2019 and 'The Return of the Living Dead' in 2022 continued in a similar vein, with songs like 'Gypsy Hill' and 'House On Haunted Hill'.

Their music nods to influences like The Doors and The Damned, but it stays focused on B-movie tropes and dark entertainment history. They haven't shifted far from that core idea, just putting out records every few years without much fuss.
