A Japanese rock band that formed in 1997 and built a catalog of over a hundred songs.
For a sense of their sound, start with 'Wana' and 'Shishunka'. They frame the band's mix of raw energy and melodic reach.
They started underground with their debut 'Yajirobee' in 1999, but their third album 'Hikari no Ko' from 2003 gave them a wider reach. The song 'Wana' from that record became their most recognizable track, and you can hear their range in songs like 'Shishunka' and 'Requiem'. They kept at it through lineup changes, putting out albums like 'Moment' in 2007 and 'Shin Sekai' in 2013.
The band formed in 1997 with Yoshiki Mizutani on vocals and guitar, Hiroaki Okubo on bass, Daisuke Ikeda on guitar, and Eiichi Honda on drums. After Ikeda left in 2005, they continued recording through the 2000s and into the 2010s.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
