The Banner formed in Nashville in 2011 with Kenny Norris on vocals, Luis Martinez and Jacob Harris on guitars, Ryan Clark on bass, and Sean Kellison on drums. They started playing local shows and put out their first EP, 'Now,' in 2015, followed by 'Too Late.'
Their 2018 single 'Bones to Dust' got a lot of attention, with streams in the millions. Other songs from around that time include 'Zombie Onslaught' and 'A Quiet Corner.'
In 2019, the band dealt with a lawsuit over unpaid royalties. They got through it, but it was a difficult period that affected their finances.
