The Beauty of Gemina formed in the 2000s with a sound that mixed symphonic metal with ethereal vocals. Their song 'River' became one of their better-known tracks, along with others like 'Suicide Landscape' and 'A Fortune Tellers Dream'.
Mikko Heikkilä played guitar, Tuomas Tuominen was on drums, Lasse Nyman handled vocals, and Sami Lopakka played bass. They released their first album 'Aurora' in 2007, followed by 'A Distant Thunder' in 2009, 'Valley of Kings' in 2011, and 'Rite of Passage' in 2013.
Their music tended toward the atmospheric and sometimes dark, with titles like 'Darkness' and 'A Thousand Lake' suggesting that mood. The band worked in that space between heavy instrumentation and melodic vocals for several years.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
