The Big Pink formed in London in 2004 with Robbie Furze on vocals and guitar, Milo Cordell on bass, and Andrew 'Smiley' Butler on drums. Their debut album 'A Brief History of Love' came out in 2009, featuring songs like 'Dominos' and 'Velvet' that drew from post-punk, indie rock, and shoegaze influences.
In 2012 they released 'Hit the Ground (Superman),' a single that got radio play and brought them wider attention. Other tracks from around that time include 'Crystal Visions,' 'Stay Gold,' '1313,' and '77.'
Milo Cordell left the band in 2014. The group's sound had developed from their earlier work into something that mixed rock with electronic textures.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
