The Black Skirts formed in Melbourne in 2008, originally as a quartet with Josh Pyke, Owen Campbell, Luke Davison, and Dave Jenkins. They put out their first album, 'All Your Ways Are True,' the following year. Their second album, 'Tomorrow Will Be Kinder,' came out in 2012 and included the song 'EVERYTHING.'
They released two more albums, 'On My Mind' in 2014 and 'The Good Times Are Killing Me' in 2017.
Songs like 'Who Do You Love' and 'Hollywood' are among their better-known tracks. The group's music tends toward indie folk with layered harmonies.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
