The Bled formed in Tempe, Arizona in 2001 with Scott Ian Lewis on vocals, Jeremy Griffin and Ross Ott on guitars, Adam Warren on bass, and Mike Pedicone on drums. They released their first album 'Pass the Flask' in 2003, followed by 'Found in the Flood' in 2005 and 'Silent Treatment' in 2007. Their sound had a raw, aggressive quality that drew from post-hardcore and metalcore, with songs like 'I Never Met Another Gemini' and 'Nothing We Say Leaves This Room' showing their knack for combining intricate guitar work with intense vocals.
They put out two more albums, 'Heat Fetish' in 2009 and 'This Will Kill Us All' in 2012, before disbanding in 2014. The lineup shifted over time, with Griffin and Ott leaving in 2009 and being replaced by Mike Patton and Taylor Griffin. They briefly got back together for some shows in 2018. Tracks like 'Spitshine Sonata' and 'Antarctica' capture the volatile energy that defined much of their catalog.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
