The Bravery formed in New York City in 2003, with Sam Endicott on vocals, Michael Zakarin on guitar, John Conway on bass, Anthony Burulcich on drums, and John Congleton on keyboards.
After Congleton left in 2007, the band's sound shifted toward something more polished. They put out two more albums, 'The Sun and the Moon' and 'Stir the Blood,' before things went quiet. Tracks like 'Open Heart Surgery' and 'Split Me Wide Open' show the kind of introspective, melodic rock they were known for, even as their lineup and direction changed.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
