The Brother Brothers are fraternal twins David and Adam Moss from Winnipeg, Manitoba. They started playing open mics around the local folk scene there, working other jobs to keep going. Their 2014 album 'Tug of War' was produced by Jacquire King, who has worked with Coldplay and Kings of Leon. After that, they played at the Newport Folk Festival.
David handles guitar and vocals, while Adam plays bass and sings. Their songs like 'Mary Ann' and 'Siren Song' show the kind of close harmony singing they're known for. They put out 'Some People I Know' in 2016 and 'Calla Lilies' in 2020.
They write about ordinary things, love, loss, what it's like to be human. The music stays mostly in folk and Americana territory, with some cinematic touches here and there. It's the kind of sound that works in small rooms and on festival stages.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
