Shackles And Embers

This porcelain witch drags me under

Her poisonous grasp erodes my will

My strength succumbs to selfish torture

If only my mind would just be still

This time i swore it'd be different, i swore i had learned to cope

With this match i had sed to tinder, with this ember on my lap

The excuses i've made can't hold up any longer

The promises made in vain are returning void to me

Behind those eyes hides a weak and fragile soul

Only longing for a place she could call home

Living in this subjugated hell

Taken advantage for every pain she felt

Disgusted and shamed by the decisions i have made

I turn to the place where my sin had in anguish been paid

"father forgive me though i know just what i have done

Teach me to walk with you as though we are but one!"

In his great peace am i conceding,

That which would cast me from his face

There is no foothold on my heart
