Their self-titled debut album came out in 1987, and the single 'Ideal World' did well on the charts. The following year, 'I Found Out' became a notable track for them, giving its name to their third album.
Their music pulled from soul, folk, and rock, with songs like 'Forgotten Town' and 'Harvest For the World' showing that range. They worked with other artists including Paul Weller and Sinéad O'Connor. After some lineup changes in the early 1990s, they put out albums like 'Happy In Hell' and 'Everything' before slowing down.
They had a copyright dispute with Bono over a song called 'The Bottle,' which became part of their story. Their catalog includes 'Born Again' and 'Father,' and their recordings from the late '80s still get played occasionally on radio and in films.
